Siemens opens global software R&D centre in Pune

Siemens Industry Software India Pvt. Ltd. (SISW), a 100 per cent subsidiary of Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Software (USA), announced the inauguration of its global R&D centre in Baner, Pune. The centre will act as the Asia-Pacific infrastructure hub focused on cutting-edge software product development.
Chuck Grindstaff, CEO and President of Siemens PLM Software, said, “Siemens is committed to leverage the enormous talent pool available in India for software development in our new and emerging business areas. I am excited to see an enhanced Siemens R&D footprint in India, providing further evidence of our commitment to support the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.”
