Mitsubishi Electric India launches a new range of high-end factory automation products

Mitsubishi Electric India Private Limited (MEI), a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Japan has unveiled a range of high-end factory automation products for the Indian market. MEI, one of the leaders in the factory automation segment, has introduced a new range that includes best in its class globally acclaimed Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) known as L-series Compact PLCs, the FX-3GE and FX-3S range of Micro PLCs, the futuristic and energy efficient J4 & JE Servo Motor and Amplifiers and Industrial robots.
MEI offers the best of factory automation through products which are high in performance, efficiency, quality and capabilities necessary for India’s demanding machine automation requirements. The products will enable machine manufacturers as well as end-users to handle complex automation requirements by improving productivity with enhanced safety, while simultaneously guaranteeing ease of operation at the same time. These features describe the MEI catchphrase; ‘Take it Easy’.
“The new product range is expected to generate incremental business of Rs. 500 million within next 2 years. While the new product range is expected to meet the growing needs of original equipment manufacturers in the country; it marks just the beginning of MEI’s aggressive growth path in India,” a statement issues by the company said.
The L series motion control module provides high-speed, high-precision fibre optic motion control of up to 4 and 16 axis per module over Mitsubishi Electric’s SSCNETIII servo controller network. Other motion capabilities include cam function, phase compensation, mark detection and 600 points of user-defined positioning data.
Additionally, the L Series also offers,• A two-colour, four-line display option which can be used for troubleshooting and monitoring without laptop or software • System maintenance functions directly from GOT • One gigabit CC-Link IE Field slave head station module which can be interfaced like a remote i/o station making the product more suitable for distributed i/o architecture.
All of the functions available in this series can be programmed and maintained in the easy to use Mitsubishi Electric’s GX Works2 programming environment, a part of iQ Works. GX Works2 and iQ Works can improve programming productivity, speed – up commissioning, reduce downtime and provide strong security at reduced costs.
