LMW launches new machining centre [Feb 2012]

Textile machinery manufacturing major Lakshmi Machine Works (LMW) has launched a moving column vertical machining centre for the automobile and auto-ancillary industry. The new machine namely JVM 60 has been equipped with a robust spindle, constructed to minimise axial and thermal expansions, and dynamically balanced to ensure extremely low run-outs. Priced at around Rs.43 lakh, the machine would serve as replacement for imported machine. Initially, LMW expected to deliver up to 6 machines a month and would enhance the production capacity if required.
