Indsur Global completes first phase of its Rs 150-cr modernisation and expansion Exporter of power infrastructure castings Indsur Global, a member of Mumbai-based Indsur Group, has announced the completion of the first phase of modernisation and expansion at its plant in Halol, Gujarat.
A bulk of the Rs 150 crore investment will go into modernise and expand its capacity to manufacture various types of important critical power infrastructure castings at its Gujarat plant.
“At the completion of the first phase, the plant can now produce almost 12,500 tonnes per annum, up from 7,500 tonnes. This would be further enhanced to 25,000 tonnes by March 2015. A substantial portion of the expanded capacity would be exported with long-term partnership,” the company said.
With this capacity expansion, the company estimates to increase its market-share in Europe from about 15 per cent now to around 25 per cent by 2015. “The new facility would ensure a robust export market share and will compete with China,” it said. Indsur Group has diversified businesses in auto components, castings, pipes, thermal engineering etc. with plants located in India, UK and Saudi Arabia.
