Covering an area of around 2,15,000 square metres, the event is all set to be attended by over 1,20,000 visitors from all over the world.
IFAT has a large range of exhibits ranging from water extraction and treatment, water and sewage treatment, water distribution and sewers, coastal protection/flood control, refuse disposal and recycling to generating energy from waste materials, street cleaning, maintenance and winter road services, decontamination of old sites/soil treatment, flue-gas scrubbing and air extraction/air-pollution abatement, noise reduction/sound insulation, measuring, control and laboratory technology, services, science, research, technology transfer with irrigation technology and geothermal energy as the new entrants.
This is a trade fair of opinions, findings, experiences, knowledge and visions. Moreover the forums are platforms for company presentations, panel discussions, country specials, technical discussions and special events. 
Speaking about the initiatives taken to reach out to the Indian visitors, Eugen Egetenmier, Managing Director of IFAT Entsorga said, “We are talking to relevant associations in India so that they disseminate all the information; we are also in touch with governmental institutions. Apart from that we are visiting various related events in the country to spread the message.” He informed that a team of Indian delegation that represents public and private sectors has already finalised their plan to visit IFAT Entsorga.
