Hannover Messe 2016 to be a golden opportunity for India

Hannover Messe press meet held at the Westin Hotel in Mumbai, where Marc Siemering, Senior Vice President, Deutsche Messe spoke about India’s appearance as partner country at Hannover Messe 2015 which generated a tremendous amount of attention for ‘Make in India’ and recorded numerous success, with foreign direct investment in India jumping 27 per cent in the first quarter.
Siemering majorly spoke about the upcoming Hannover Messe 2016 which will be held at Germany in the month of April which will showcase about 5,000 exhibiting companies and will attract more than 2,00,000 visitors from 100 countries. The 2016 event features five main display categories: Industrial Automation, Digital Factory, Energy, Industrial Supply, and Research & Technology.
“Hannover Messe 2016 is the perfect opportunity for Indian companies to continue the momentum and not only strengthen relationships established in 2015, but also initiate new business contacts and attract further foreign investment,” said Siemering.Siemering added, “As the world’s number one showcase for Industries 4.0 technology, Hannover Messe is the perfect place for visitors from India’s manufacturing industry to learn about innovative ways to boost efficiency in their factories.”
Hannover Messe’s partner company for 2016, the United States, presents Indian companies with a unique opportunity to present themselves to buyers from the world’s biggest economy and convince American companies to invest in manufacturing in India.
Modernisation is a strategic priority for India. Like its counterparts in Europe and the US, Indian manufacturers are looking to technology to increase competitiveness. “India will play a pivotal role in the next era of manufacturing as long as it continues to increase productivity and quality by adopting modern manufacturing practices,” said Siemering.
Siemering emphasised on digitalisation and its importance in the energy industry as it is in manufacturing, because a successful energy system for the future requires controllable, networked and intelligent generation and storage technologies as well as network resources. By 2030, energy demand in India will increase by a factor of 1.5 to 2.5, so energy efficiency and conservation are critical in India’s continuing development.
