Despite some uncertainty due to the global economic situation and the currency crisis in the Euro zone, the sheet metal working industry presents itself as stabilised and confident. EuroBLECH 2012, the world’s leading exhibition for the sheet metal working industry, expects huge success. The 22nd International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition is scheduled to be organised from 23 – 27 October in Hanover, Germany.
Featuring an enormous amount of live machine demonstrations, EuroBLECH would offer its visitors a comprehensive idea of the prevailing technological trends and economic situation. With this year’s theme ‘For a sustainable future’, EuroBLECH puts a special focus on energy efficient technology, environmentally friendly manufacturing processes and intelligent use of material. “Major developments in sheet metal working relate to lightweight construction and processing of hybrid structures. To reflect this development, processing of sheet metal/plastic hybrid structures has now been included in the EuroBLECH exhibition profile that covers the complete sheet metal working technology chain,” explains Nicola Hamann, Exhibition Director EuroBLECH, on behalf of the organisers, Mack Brooks Exhibitions.
India is considered as third biggest future market for the sheet metal working industry, after Germany and China. “As of now 10 exhibitors from India have booked their space for this international event, however we are expecting huge increase in the number of visitors,” informed Nicola Hamann while talking to the media persons in Mumbai. Some of the visitors include Bhuvan Leasing & Infrastructures, DB Engineering, Dee Tee Industries, Innovative Industries, Leakproof Steelplant Projects, Metamation, Sahajanand Laser Technology, Spring India, and VV Mineral.
Compared to its previous edition in 2010, this year the organisers are expecting an increase of 4 per cent in exhibitor numbers and of 8 per cent in exhibition space. Already, a total of 1,516 exhibitors from 38 countries have booked a net exhibition space of 85,000 square metres at EuroBLECH 2012. A total of 61,500 trade visitors from all over the world attended the 2010 edition. The number of Indian visitors at EuroBLECH 2010 had grown by 13 per cent compared to the 2008 show.
