ElectroMech exploring overseas markets

Today ElectroMech is one of the largest EOT cranes manufacturers in India. It offers solutions for various applications in manufacturing plants and infrastructure projects through its range of hoists and cranes.
Range of offerings ElectroMech offers precise material handling solutions for a range of applications in manufacturing plants and infrastructure projects. The company’s product portfolio includes electric wire rope hoists, single girder and double girder EOT cranes, jib cranes, wall travelling cranes, goliath cranes, underslung cranes, as well as special purpose cranes such as stacker cranes and tunnel mucking systems.
Given the nature of ElectroMech’s business, it caters mostly to the OEMs and earthmoving and construction equipment manufacturers. Some of its marquee clients include: JCB Manufacturing, Gamesa Wind Turbines, Tata Motors, Mahindra Intertrade, Mahindra Steel Service, Nahar Polymers etc.
“We also believe in providing well-engineered turnkey hoisting solutions,” says Mr Mehendale. “Being one of the largest manufacturers of EOT cranes in India, and having association with some of the best-in-class companies across the globe, our cranes and hoists are supplied to diverse industries including automobile, construction, general engineering, heavy engineering, oil and gas, power, railways, shipbuilding and steel.”
Hand in handElectroMech is an exclusive India partner for Germany’s ABUS Crane Systems for their entire range of standardised hoists and cranes. Apart from these, it iss a sole representative for Stahl’s range of explosion-protected hoists and cranes in Indian market.
In addition, recently, ElectroMech has entered into a joint venture with Zoomlion of China to manufacture, sell and service their range of tower cranes in India.
Eye on exports“We are proactively exploring overseas market for our products and services,” says Mr Mehendale. “We are targeting to export our products and services to those overseas markets where infrastructure development is very active.”
The past few years has seen ElectroMech expand its footprint across the globe; the company now has offices in India, an office each in Dubai and associates in Oman, Qatar, Kenya, South Africa and Bangladesh. While it does not have manufacturing plants overseas, it would explore opportunities for tie-ups in the respective markets to establish its presence and get understanding of those markets.
The company believes that its experience with cranes, installed at small workshops as well as at gigantic shipyards, enhances its knowledge base. It is inspired to sharpen it further for designing advanced cranes for more critical applications.
Key attraction at bc IndiaAt the Zoomlion-ElectroMech stall, it will be displaying the Zoomlion TC 5013 – 5 tower crane which is an India specific external climbing hammer head tower crane. Designed specifically for real estate high-rise construction projects, the crane has a 50 metres jib with a 1.3 tonne tip load. The maximum lifting capacity of the crane is 5 tonnes.
At the ElectroMech stall, the company will be showcasing its solutions for the infrastructure construction industry. Also it will have on display a model of a gantry crane as well.
