CGTech India signed technology partnership agreement with IMTMA

April 18, 2013 12:24 pm

CGTech, the developer of industry-leading VERICUT CNC simulation software, has signed a technology partnership agreement with Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA), an apex governing body of metalworking and machine tool manufacturers of India. As per the agreement, CGTech India will provide its simulation software for training purposes.
IMTMA’s state-of-the-art Technology Centre regularly conducts training programs and seminars for industry professionals and fresh graduates. These trainings are imparted with an aim to educate and hone the skills of the professionals with the latest methods and practices adopted by the industry. “The inclusion of CGTech’s VERICUT will boost IMTMA’s technology drive to identify and adopt newer technologies and initiatives for metal machining and metalworking. Going forward, industry professionals and graduates will get hands-on training in using VERICUT which will be included in 5-axis and multi-axis machining curriculums. Additionally, they will learn in detail about VERICUT’s features and capabilities in detecting potential collisions and NC program mistakes without requiring manual prove-outs on machines,” a statement issued by the company said.
Some NC programmers believe that any CAM simulation is good enough, which is often incorrect,” said Mr. Parasnis, Country Manager for CGTech India. “VERICUT uses the post-processed g-codes and simulates the entire machining process to eliminate crashes and close calls. It also reduces CNC cycle time and increases productivity. The technology centre will be an ideal platform where professionals can understand the significance of VERICUT post-CAM programming stages,” he adds.
Although IMTMA’s facility is well equipped with CNC machines, control systems and CAM systems, the inclusion of VERICUT will provide “complete package” training to the industry professionals on accurate and efficient machining. With VERICUT being the industry standard adopted by many companies of all sizes, universities/trade schools and government agencies across the globe, Mr. Parasnis strongly believes that the software completes the puzzle of the metalworking and manufacturing process-cycle.
