Apex assisting CNC users to strengthen in Indian market

September 22, 2014 6:03 pm

“In CNC machines, the controls and automation goes obsolete in shorter span and hence Apex services are considered as a boon to the CNC users,” believes Manoj Kumar, Director, Apex Group
Apex opened its India office in 2011 and has been selling used equipment including machines sold from Indian sellers as well as importing equipment from other countries. Mr Kumar talks on how Apex offers helping hand to CNC players to strengthen themselves in the field and other aspects.
Apex at a glanceApex Group primarily specialises in the sale of complete plants, machine tools and associated equipment and is one of the leaders in this field worldwide. It assists manufacturing companies and other industrial groups, who are looking to sell all or part of business, dispose of excess equipment or simply understand the value of assets.
“We work closely with stakeholders such as dealers, retrofitters and logistics companies. We have strong coverage in CNC and manual gear machines, sheet metal or fabrication, plastic, woodworking, processing plants and others,” says Mr Kumar.
The company is present in UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia, Germany, Italy, Russian Federation, Hong Kong and India. With its representatives in Pune, Faridabad and Mohali, Apex has over 7,000 registered end users who are looking to sell their surplus assets.
Helping handThe Indian CNC machine users now have a professional platform where they can convert their surplus manual or CNC machines to cash to further buy state-of-the-art new machines and fuel growth. “With globalisation taking place and foreign investments in India, companies are adopting the system practices by companies in US and UK for outsourcing management of their assets to third-party vendors,” points out Mr Kumar. “In such cases, Apex helps in identifying, valuation and disposal of assets in a professional and transparent manner within a specified period of time.”
Role of technology The technology involved in CNC solutions is changing rapidly. To remain competitive in the market, the Indian manufacturers need to adopt the new technology and get rid of the old equipment. Apex helps such companies to dispose of their surplus old equipment and generate cash in a short period of time to buy new equipment.
“In CNC machines, the controls and automation goes obsolete in shorter span and hence Apex services are considered as a boon to the CNC users,” believes Mr Kumar. “The machine tool manufacturers can provide a buy-back service also, wherein they can partner with third-party vendors like Apex to dispose of the old equipment and can then use the sale proceedings to book a new machine.”
