OMRON to strengthen safety at automotive shop-floors

OMRON has embarked on a multi-city machine-safety seminar initiative to expand awareness on shop-floor safety amongst automotive manufactures. The first leg of the seminar was concluded in Pune, where around 200 experts from the industry attended the seminar which includes machine builders, auto makers and many industry experts.
The safety seminars are curated with a view to discuss the concerns at the shop floors of automotive manufacturers and exchange knowledge about the machine safety solutions practices. Safety plays a key role in enhancing the productivity of manufacturing site and automation is a strong enabler to achieve the same.
Sameer Gandhi, Managing Director, OMRON Automation India, said, “Being an auto manufacturing hub in Western India, Pune holds a lot of importance for us. Omron is well placed amongst the automotive manufacturing fraternity for its automotive automation and sensors. We are now striving to popularise the safety components and services to this sector. These seminars are a step ahead in this direction. We plan to come up with more of these interactive platforms for our quality, inspection, traceability, robotics and vision solutions too in the future.”
