OEM Update interactive session on “Manufacturing Outlook 2021”

Manufacturing has emerged as one of the trending sectors in terms of growth. The Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ programme enabled India to become a global manufacturing hub. Business conditions in the Indian manufacturing remain positive amid pandemic. The manufacturing component of IIP stood at 129.8 during 2020.

With the help of Make in India and Vocal for local drive, India is prepping up to become a hi-tech manufacturing sector. Also, with the global giants like GE, Siemens, HTC, Toshiba, Boeing and Tesla setting up their plant / manufacturing unit in India, we expect to increase localised manufacturing.

On this note, on 23rd February, OEM Update conducted a live interactive session on “Manufacturing Outlook 2021”. During the 90-minutes session, industry’s leading experts talked about the business opportunities following the budget allocations for the manufacturing sector, SMEs and MSME sector. They also discussed the disruptions in terms of available technology, investments and impetus on localised manufacturing under Vocal for Local.
