Perkins Engines Company Limited showcased its powerful 4000 Series engine range, manufactured at its new facility in Aurangabad, at the Make in India Week in Mumbai.
Perkins displayed a 4006D engine which meets CPCB II emissions standards. The 23-litre, inline 6 cylinder, turbocharged, air-to-air chargecooled engine was manufactured at Perkins new facility in Aurangabad, Maharashtra; a 40,000 square metres plant serving its customers in India and the wider Asia region.
The Aurangabad facility went into full production in 2015 and is providing our customers with easy access to our most powerful engine offering, the Perkins 4000 Series, a range of 6, 8, 12 and 16 cylinder engines, delivering dependable power.
The facility, which adheres to Perkins global quality standards, also has responsibility for design, research and development, machining, assembly test and engine finish. Each of these departments work with their counterparts in Stafford, UK, to ensure that our 4000 Series customers receive the dependable engines they expect from Perkins.
“We’re delighted that Perkins is taking part in such a prestigious industry event,” said Abhinav Gupta, South Asia regional marketing manager. “It’s a great opportunity to promote the investment we have made in our world-class manufacturing facility, as well as our dependable products that have been designed to meet the specific needs of our Indian customers.”
