Def Expo22 opens in Gandhinagar, Gujarat

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened the Def Expo22 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

PM Modi stated that previous Defense Expos were held in our country, but Def Expo 2022 is a first. “It represents a fresh start.” “This is the first such Defence Expo in the country, with only Indian companies participating and only Made in India defence equipment,” PM Modi said.

He said, “Def Expo 2022 is displaying a grand picture of the New India, the resolution for which was taken by us during Amrit Kaal. It has the nation’s development, states’ participation, youth power, young dreams, young courage & youth’s capabilities.”

PM Modi said the biggest Defence Expo of the country so far has marked a new beginning of a new future. “I know that this has also caused inconvenience to some countries but several countries, with a positive mindset, have come with us,” he said.

On the sidelines of this event PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of 52 Wing Air Force Station Deesa at the inauguration ceremony of the Def Expo22 at Gandhinagar.
