NTTF nurtures youth for manufacturing sector

January 10, 2017 3:52 pm

Nettur Technical Training Foundation, ‘NTTF’, established in 1963, is a living symbol of Indo-Swiss cooperation that aims at promoting vocational technical education for the youth of India and is headquartered in Bangalore.

NTTF clicked with students and professionals of less privileged backgrounds making them readily employable and well qualified trainees. It has partnered partnering with several corporate houses and industries to design short term and long duration certified vocational training programmes.

The foundation implements its programs of technical training through its more than 20 training centres located in more than 16 States of India and employs over eight hundred faculty members. It has delivered core training programs for over 40,000 students. Apart from its own facilities, NTTF has tied up with many industry-partner companies and running the training activities at the infrastructure provided by the industry.

NTTF offers long term core training programs in diverse areas such as tool and die making,
electronics, mechatronics, computer engineering, information technology and manufacturing technology, power electronics, embedded system, industrial automation, tool engineering, tool design, product design and engineering, quality engineering and management and many more. The institution has an enviable track record of industry placement of its technicians and engineers, both in India and abroad, through Campus selections. NTTF also launched a unique ‘Concurrent Programme’ (NTTF Diploma + German B.Eng degree offered by Steinbeis University, Berlin) in TOOL and DIE MAKING and MECHATRONICS, for Class 12 passed students in Science stream.

NTTF’s ‘Learn and Earn’ training model is a structured skill development programme and has much similarity to the Germany’s ‘Dual Vocational Education’ System. NTTF is approved under AICTE –National Employability Enhancement Mission (NEEM), Regulations 2013 as a NEEM agent. This program bridges the gap of shortage in skilled manpower for the industries. This unique custom-built long-term on-the-job training program is rolled out in association with manufacturing industries, which enables a trainee to acquire quality technical education, while earning.

In a nutshell, it is demonstrated that NTTF is complementing GOI’s ‘Skilling India’ initiatives and training the manpower for the past five decades. Needless to mention that NTTF’s continuous efforts to contribute to the society in imparting the vocational skills enables an aspiring workforce to effectively ‘secure their future with their own hands’.
