Exor’s Corvina Cloud 1 based on the X platform

Many organisations face the challenge of making better use of machine and plant data for decision-making and analysis in MES and cloud solutions. Exor is said to provide the complete independent X platform that makes it easy to bring the OT and IT levels together.

The X platform is a complete infrastructure, consisting of Corvina Cloud and hardware, a matching software suite is also available across all levels. The offer includes a complete open platform for the IoT with all necessary infrastructures. With this technology, the risk of bad investment gets reduced as much as possible. The X platform enables the rapid creation of complete IIoT applications.

EXOR sees an important task in not only linking the OT and the IT level with each other technically, but also in bringing together the different mentalities of the corresponding contact persons. Access to the field or to the OT level has been very tedious till now. With the X Platform, the data from the field level can be easily picked up using EXOR hardware. The integrated open VPN solution enables easy access to the machines and systems.

An important building block is the “JMobile” visualisation and connectivity software, which provides all the drivers needed to dock to all major controllers. This enables seamless integration of the entire OT level, which above all else, keeps theengineering costs under control.

EXOR sees an interesting market for the X platform in retrofit: with the remote tap of data, which can then be evaluated, older machines and plants can be made Industry 4.0 compliant. The hardware can also be flexibly assembled: The “eXware” edge gateways can be equipped with single-core, dual-core or quad-core processors, namely ARM Cortex A8 with 1 GHz or ARM Cortex A9 800 MHz.

The gateways have two to three Ethernet interfaces and modular extensions, for example for modem, CAN, Profibus, KNX and IOs. Upwards, OPC UA and MQTT are supported. In addition to Ethercat, EthernetIP, Powerlink and Profinet TSN is also supported.
