December 10, 2018 12:57 pm

Bosch is providing affordable and localised solutions in the Indian market to improve the lives and skills of tradesmen, contractors, carpenters, artisans and other industrial and institutional customers with the aim of enabling them to earn better livelihoods. Aimed at evolving from conventional to digital as Bosch transforms businesses beyond mobility, this is being driven through innovations in cordless technology, connected power tools and connected work sites ultimately benefitting the end customers. With other innovative ideas such as giving power tools for rent and leveraging digital services to communicate with customers, channel partners and the salesforce, the company is boosting industrial growth by providing state of the art tools and equipment.

The construction industry in the country accounts for about 11 per cent of GDP and contributes to the national economy by providing employment to a large number of people. Since the industry plays a vital role in the economy by creating investment and job opportunities across sectors, it is responsible for channelling India’s overall development. Bosch supports the government’s focus on this sector and is paving the way for policies that help create world-class infrastructure, empower people with the best tools and enable them to perform at higher levels of productivity.

Some of the latest Bosch power tool innovations are:
• Bosch GO – Smart cordless screwdriver with mobile charger
• GAS 18V-1 (cordless vacuum cleaner), GAS 12-25L (self-cleaning technology vacuum cleaner), GWS 750-100 (angle grinder), GCO 220 (cut off saw), GCO 14-24J (cut off saw with 2400W motor) and GBH 180 Li (cordless hammer drill)
• Advanced range measuring tools, line lasers and optical levellers

“We at Bosch believe that India has huge potential thanks to its extremely skilled craftsmen who are experts in building smart cities, industrial corridors, houses etc. With the right set of tools and innovative technologies, these tradesmen can work at a much higher productive pace and earn higher wages. Bosch is committed to expand its reach and get its convenient and affordable products in the hands of many.’’ says Panish P K, Vice President, Bosch Power Tools India & SAARC.

With the economy moving towards digital business and e-commerce, Bosch acknowledges that designing fascinating products is not enough anymore if appropriate digital tools are not used to get them into the hands of the hundreds of thousands of tradesmen across the country.

Bosch is thus adopting long-term digital measures to ensure that this becomes a reality. Bosch India will continue in its efforts to provide affordable technologies and keep innovating new technologies to make the life of tradesmen easier and productive.
