Icertis and PrasannaPurple join hands for transportation management

Icertis, a provider of enterprise solutions in the Microsoft cloud, announced strategic partnership with PrasannaPurple Mobility Solutions, a pioneer in surface mobility solutions for mass transit operations.
PrasannaPurple Mobility Solutions will roll out the Icertis PublicTransport Management product to enhance its bus operations. Leveraging the latest advances in cloud technology, IcertisPublicTransport helps city and inter-city bus operators optimise efficiency and maximise revenue. The advanced technology of the product will provide PrasannaPurple Mobility Solutions with a centralised bus network planning capability to optimise routes, schedules and driver utilisation, as well as a best-of-breed fleet management and maintenance platform.
According to Icertis, the partnership will revolutionise public transportation in India by also offering world-class in-bus information and entertainment services. The new infotainment systems will provide travel and location specific information to passengers, such as popular tourist attractions, historical facts, shopping avenues, advertisements, and so on, in addition to transmitting social and security related messages.The two companies will also collaborate to deliver a hi-tech and contemporary travel experience to passengers, who will soon be able to check bus schedules, route details, estimated travel time and fares, bus timings, as well as traffic information both online and on mobile devices, all in real time.
