EU-Indian collaboration to strengthen renewable energy sector

Two innovative leading European clean technology organisations have signed the MoU’s with Indian counterparts to transfer technology and expertise in a bid to support and provide a boost to the Indian renewable energy road map. The MoUs were signed during recently concluded ‘Conference on Renewable Energy- Policy Regulation, Technology and Finance in India’ in Mumbai, an event co-organised by European Business and Technology Centre (EBTC) and the Council of EU Chambers of Commerce in India.
Italian Energy Services Company, NewEn Ltd, and Kolkata based Enfragy Solutions India Pvt Ltd, to design, implement, test and commercialise an innovative software tool able to monitor and model the energy consumption (electrical, natural gas, water, gas, oil, etc) of an industry or a building and to optimize the energy plants, the machineries consumptions and the production processes. This will start from ‘RACE,’ a software tool already implemented by NewEn.
NewEn is an Energy Service Company specialising in traditional and renewable solutions for energy efficiency, costs saving and environmental sustainability. Deb Mukherjee, Managing Director of Enfragy Solutions, said,  “The cooperation between NewEn and Enfragy would help in designing and implementing a best-in-class software tool for energy monitoring and analysis across the entire spectrum of energy intensive users for India, Europe and other International markets.”Belgium’s leading player in the Photovoltaic (PV) market, Ikaros Solar, has entered into India by signing a MoU with Pune-based Intellux Electronics Pvt Ltd, to offer PV solutions to the Indian market. The two companies will jointly offer photovoltaic energy that is emerging as a clean and affordable alternative to expensive diesel usage in electricity generation by industries.
