B&R conducts seminar on automation technologies for manufacturing world

 B&R Automation, recognised for its trend-setting automation solutions, conducted its Innovation Day 2015 on 9th January in Pune. The event served as an ideal platform for deliberating on innovations for manufacturing industry.
B&R Innovation Day 2015 was attended by over 120 delegates from various industries encompassing end users, OEMs and integrators. B&R presented the innovations for 2015. There were eight presentations made by B&R experts. PV Sivaram, Managing Director, B&R India spoke about “B&R Innovations to add Value” highlighting how technology can help to benefit from the opportunities in the form of ‘Industry 4.0’ and ‘Make in India’ initiatives. Other interesting presentations included topics like mapp technology, plant automation, ultrafast automation, extreme modularity in industrial PCs, extreme ruggedness, Scalability+, and redundancy. These presentations were supported by live demonstrations on all-in-one software platform – automation studio, plant and factory automation, new HMIs, multi-touch panels and automations PCs, motions technology, and real time industrial Ethernet – POWERLINK.
Focus on innovationsProminent guest speakers added value by shedding light on industry trends, overall plant efficiency and much more. A key note was delivered by chief guest Shirish Divgi, Managing Director, Ferromatik Milacron India. His presentation focused on customer expectations which act as fuel to innovations. “With the help of innovations from B&R in all fronts including hardware, software, technologies for productivity and savings, Ferromatik Milacron India is able to provide better and improved solutions to the customers,” said Mr Divgi.
M. Ramesh Babu, National Head – Projects, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, delivered an informative speech on “Planning for future plant expansions – Scalability of automation – Trends vs Reality”. An engaging presentation on “Increasing importance of software in machine building” was given by Nikhil Baste, Founder Director, Technoshell Automations which highlighted how superior software is instrumental in better solutions. “Complexity of automation software is increasing day by day but this is the right way to move ahead and win over competition,” sights Mr Baste. Mr Chandrashekhar, Sr. Manager R&D, Auma India provided an insight on redundancy in plant and spoke on the topic “Network topologies to increase availability.”   
Launch of ‘automotion India’ B&R is reputed in solving a wide range of complex applications for different industries and is a preferred supplier to many OEMs and plant operators. To highlight different application and customer success stories “automotion India”, a B&R technology magazine was launched at this event. It was unveiled by the eminent guest speakers and the B&R management. The magazine also features testimonials by renowned end users for B&R.
By and large B&R Innovation Day 2015 turned out to be a very successful one. Everyone in the audience was excited to know more about the innovative technologies and giving a genuine thought over implementing innovations in their machines and plants.
