Europa Filter: a simple solution for an invisible problem

There are certain vexations we are so used to that we don’t consider them to be a problem which include light bulb failure, battery power loss and oil that has to be changed regularly. Latest inventions have seen to it that low energy bulbs last longer, batteries can be recharged and oil can be filtered during operation, thus it never gets dirty, don’t have to be replaced and above all prevents expensive downtime.
Europafilter is a Norwegian company established in 1980 to create a perfect oil filtering and cleansing system. The technology is developed from a NASA satellite application where no oil change is possible and high-level of oil purity. Europafilter is an offline filter suitable for proactive oil management systems. The filter captures particles all the way down to 0.1 micron. Up to 3 kg of contamination can be trapped. Europafilter can also absorb up to 3 litres of water. It uses cellulose capillary tubes with axial filtration.
Apart from being the only filter that cleans oil with particles that are 1 micron and below it’s the only filter in the world that absorbs water from oil simultaneously. The particle pyramid shows that 70 per cent of all particles by weight are less than 1 micron which is the major cause of oxidation in oil. It results in lower Opex as oil and inline filter changes are no longer necessary. This super cleaned oil in addition improves the life span of machine. Europafilter can be used for effective cleaning of hydraulic oil, lubrication oil, turbine oil, compressor oil, diesel oil, transformer oil and gear oil. Europafilter performance has been proven in the manufacturing, maritime, energy, transportation, construction etc. The company’s clientele includes some of the biggest and best companies in the world like ABB, Alstom, Volvo, Scania, Statoil, Shell, Aditya Birla group etc.
