Increase in salary – a hurdle! [June 2012]

June 19, 2012 11:18 am

If the trend in increasing salaries continues, it will adversely affect the target of creating 100 million jobs in the next 10 years. The manufacturers will opt for more and more into automated processes to reduce the exhaustive HR cost- Djawad Khorosh, Operation Manager, ACE Automation Control Equipment
India is undergoing a sea change in the process control industry as many companies look towards the export market for new business. This has led to the need to comply with international standards and review existing designs. Djawad Khorosh, Operation Manager at ACE Automation Control Equipment believes that the Indian manufacturers have the potential to take a leap forward from traditional manufacturing to the latest techniques without going through the learning curves and development paths that other countries have had to take. ACE Automation Control Equipment, one of the market leaders in industrial deceleration and motion control technology globally, offers solution for almost every industry from tyre manufacturers to steel production, machine tools, rocket launchers, food processing, robots, packaging equipment, machine tools, paper industry and right through to medical devices.
The company offers shock absorbers that are available from sizes as small as 5mm diameter up to very large units capable of absorbing 1,26,500 NM per cycle and also a full range of safety shock absorbers designed for extreme situations. ACE also manufactures heavy duty industrial gas springs, Tubus profile dampers, SLAB damping plates, rotary dampers, hydraulic dampers and feed controls, locked clamping elements and a complete range of anti-vibration damping plates.
Demand for Customise Solutions is on RiseTalking about the present status of the country’s manufacturing sector, Mr. Khorosh said, “The industry in not limited to the traditional segment anymore. All industries are active – from defence to automotive to heavy industry, this makes it challenging for us. Our products are not limited to any industry”.
Today, the way industry is transforming, there is increasing need of customise solutions. “The manufacturers need to understand the requirements and supply individual solutions to optimise the production as well as the quality of the manufactured units’, he said.
Safety Gaining ImportanceHaving travelled across the country for the last 15 years for different German manufacturers Mr. Khorosh observed the ‘change’, especially in the field of monitoring of safety aspects in manufacturing facilities. “ACE Automation Control Equipment receives numbers of inquiries weekly from reputed companies to protect their equipment and their employees while improving the quality of finished goods as well”, he said.
Spreading Technological SkillOwing to his long association with manufacturing sector, Mr. Khorosh also felt that the knowhow on deceleration of moving parts is not at par to the global standard as far as industrial manufacturing sector is concerned. Targeting this situation, ACE has taken initiative in spearheading the movement of increasing awareness about the modern technology within the industry. “We have started educating the industry about the knowhow on deceleration of moving parts. Our team of mechanical engineers in the field together with our experienced application engineers have built up a training program which is well accepted by the companies”.
Mr. Khorosh also expects the realisation of creating 100 million jobs in the next 10 years to come. However, he has pointed out, “If the trend in increasing salaries continues, it will adversely affect the target of creating 100 million jobs in the next 10 years. The manufacturers will opt for more and more into automated processes to reduce the exhaustive HR cost”.
