Initiatives such as the PLI scheme are launched to boost the local manufacturing sectors.

Brief about the Autobot company and its activities.

Autobot Academy has been established by Autobot India, India’s first and fast-growing EV tech learning company. There is a rapid rise in the production of EVs and evolution of EV technology today. This surge in the EV market has led to a major unaddressed demand for green learning facilities in India and Autobot Academy is endeavouring to address this. Within a short span of time, we have become India’s leading, innovative and specialised EdTech brand for the learning and development of futuristic technologies.

Our mission is to train and develop the skill resources of the future workforce that is going to cater to the domestic EV manufacturing industry. We are the only platform in India at present that offers flexibility of learning models. Autobot Academy has built the largest pool of EV experts in the world, and we have more than 50 industry partners. Autobot Academy has already delivered more than 6000 hours of Green Learning and successfully offered full-time career opportunities to over 500 people during the initial years. At present, there are 2500 plus active learners enrolled with us.

Parameters on which new innovations are being tested.

We are currently focusing on various parameters and applications to build a holistic learning in EV and future technology sectors such as Energy Storage, Advance Electronics, Human and Machine Interface (HMI), Energy Management, Fuel Cell, Renewable Energy and Telecom etc., with our embedded technology based hands-on learning experience to the learners.

What focus do you expect from IMTEX 2022.

IMTEX brings to the fore the manufacturing practises for the future. The concept of additive manufacturing is a modern technology that is bound to become mainstream in metal cutting and forming in the years ahead. EV manufacturing is going to be focused on leaner, faster and more advanced techniques. And we believe that IMTEX will give us a great insight into the innovations taking place in the manufacturing and engineering products and applications arena.

How do you view the manufacturing outlook for next year in the country?

The manufacturing sector in India is on an upswing and will play an even bigger role as a contributor to the economy in 2022. The Government of India has been pushing to make India self-sufficient through initiatives such as the PLI scheme launched to boost the local manufacturing sectors. Also, the Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat, are both aiming at making India self-reliant and an export hub of the world.

In this regard, a dual strategy of building manufacturing infrastructure and technologies and training of workforce ready to leverage the technologies is going to be the key to success. Overall, with the right impetus, 2022 can be a threshold year when the Indian manufacturing sector makes a global impact and advances to becoming the ‘Factory of the World of the Future.’
