UV Group: Powering India with green energy
April 11, 2020 10:54 am
Coal and petroleum are the most abundantly used fuels in India. They are the major reason for our ecosystem’s destruction and increased environmental pollution. Yet, the semi-rural and rural population of our country does not receive adequate power supply and cannot afford the high prices of petrol. UV Group came into existence as an initiative to provide solutions to these problems and improve the environmental landscape of India, which is in unison with our PM’s view of a clean and green India.
India’s carbon footprint
The major concern here is that even after consuming a huge amount of non-renewable energy sources, almost 70 percent of our population receives electric power supply for less than 12 hours a day. Mentioned are some of the shocking facts about India’s carbon emission-based fuel consumption:
• India ranks third in oil consumption with 212.7 million tonnes in 2016, after the US and China.
• India is also the second-largest importer of coal 141.7 Mtoe in 2018.
• India is the second-largest consumer of coal with 452.2 Mtoe in 2018.
Objectives
As a company, UV Group has been serving the power sector for past 25 years; they aim at achieving the following objectives:
Reduce pollution: By promoting the use of naturally available solar energy solutions from UKAVA Solar and Electric Vehicles from Velemo Moto Hub.
Provide efficient energy solutions: Fastcharging solar batteries and solar plant setup for affordable and sustainable power backup.
Reduce India’s fuel dependency: By providing natural energy usage that allows our country to be self-sufficient when it comes to our power needs.
Product profile
Ukava Solar: India’s first Li-ion solar inverter, solar PV module, solar batteries (Li-ion and lead acid), solar home ups, inverter trolley, solar EPC set-up.
Velemo Moto Hub: Velemo Electrus E-Bicycle, Velemo Revive and Falcon E-Scooters, Velemo Urja, Shaurya and Shakti Solar Electric Three- Wheelers.
Green energy is the need of the hour
The most successful nations in the world are those who have abundant resources of energy. However, naturally occurring coal and
petroleum reserves are enough for our massive population, and we need to switch to more practical options like solar energy and electric vehicles and protect our ecosystem.
