Weiss GmbH inaugurates the engineering knowledge centre

W eiss Automation Solutions India Pvt Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of the Weiss GmbH, the German-based is one of the world’s leading manufacturer of modern and efficient industrial rotary and linear movements in automation they are inaugurating “New Campus” that will house under one roof, Weiss APAC regional HQ, India sales office, the engineering knowledge centre, Weiss solution factory, global sourcing and global technical development centre.

The new campus is inaugurated by Dr. Juergen Morhard, Consul General of Federal Republic of Germany, Mumbai and Rajesh Nath, Managing Director – VDMA India in presence of industry leaders, key customers and business partners.

“As a part of the growth plan and strategy for Asia Pacific and Indian market, Weiss Group has been beefing up its operations and resources in the region. A first step in that direction, we are adding customer-facing and technical resources, competence and infrastructure. The new campus in Chakan industrial area in Pune is a big step in this direction” said Uwe Weiss, Group CEO, Weiss GmbH.

Weiss want to be recognised as the most preferred automation solutions partner in India and as a reinforcement of Weiss Group commitment to the customer and Indian market, this new campus will be able to sustain and grow the trust, that Weiss products and solutions has been able to get from Indian customer’s instant recognition of the quality and reliability that comes with our over 50 years of German engineering knowledge and automation technology. Besides this, the solution factory will house, India logistic centre and warehouse, service centre, customised and value-added product assembly etc. besides Pune, the company has recently added regional sales offices in Delhi NCR, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Bengaluru to be close to and serve the customers in the region better.

Weiss has invested over 30 MINR in infrastructure for setting up this new campus in Chakan, Pune and additionally another 50 MINR in putting up the engineering knowledge centre equipped with the latest state of the art live demo units for customer training  and engineering consultancy services.
